Here's a news item I just came across, it's on several websites so no idea where this originates from or how reliable it is. Is this where all those colored vinyl JH pirates or the new Swingin Pigs came from then?

MAJOR ILLEGAL VINYL PRESSING PLANT RAIDED IN BRITAIN…

Mi2N:

Following on from the original raid of Scenario Records in Kensington, BPI APU, together with Police officers from the Met and Bedfordshire, have raided an illegal vinyl pressing plant. Officers, having forced entry, found hiding inside two German nationals who were operating 7” and 12” vinyl presses producing illegal coloured vinyl discs. They were found to be in possession of over 200 stampers – including ‘rare’ Rolling Stones Bootlegs.

Enquiries are ongoing, but it is believed that this plant is responsible for producing the majority of the illegal vinyl discs currently circulating the UK.

Wow! That should put a stop to it then. Great find, thanks for posting that one.

I'm surprised they didn't think of running off a few Electric Jimi Hendrix or Who Did It while they were at it. It's all academic anyway I guess - the only useful pirate release to me was the Wow boot because I couldn't afford all three official albums at the time; Woodstock was a triple and Monterey only available in the UK on expensive import, likewise the US AYE for Red House. So I suppose that Wow had some inherent added value.
