Not if they make a load of cash it won't be. So glad it's happening but I imagine it's EH appeasing Gold's desire to put this in cinemas. Hopefully if this is successful, as it surely will be, they'll do exactly that.

Yes, surely this can’t be the only time it gets a public release after all the money, time & effort getting it to this point

Must admit, I thought it was rather telling how ‘The Last Experience’ is getting credited first over ‘Experience Hendrix’ at least in these initial advertisements for it - already you get the impression that it is NOT Experience Hendrix calling all the shots here. I’d love to know how this release has managed to come about!

At the same time, I definitely pray I can replace my Sunday newspaper soundtrack recording of this show with a proper official authorised copy of the soundtrack recording at least at some point in the future!

It was weird when EXPERIENCE and MORE EXPERIENCE came out on Ember in the 70s not TRACK as Gold/Goldstein seemed to own the rights. Then the full concert appeared on CHARLY and fuzzy bootleg videos with poor quality footage appeared. Experience Hendrix had the audacity to sue the Sunday Times for issuing the freebie cd over a decade ago. A few years ago EH sued THE LAST EXPERIENCE because the latter wanted the film released in cinemas initially but now they seem to have made up and what a delight to see the trailer with the best footage I have ever seen from RAH. Hope to get a ticket for the 21st!
