Opps, sorry it was a dream!!

Why don't we have a celebration of this ground breaking recording?

Anyone at Experience Hendrix aware of the important date? I'd like to be a stereotypical scouse here but Steve would tell me off :o
What we DO NOT have is this album in mono on CD.

Maybe Radioactive are putting something out?

Appears they are Gordon,on the website it has a mention of the 50th anniversary of AYE,runs to a couple of sentences.... I guess landmark anniversaries aren't such a big deal anymore.

Perhaps they are saving it for RSD 2...by which time it will be the anniversary of Axis.

Yes, what a missed opportunity! We know there are (many) additional tracks suitable to make up a box set (although we probably have them all 20 times over already :o !!) plus, of course, a copy of the mono CD version for Gord....and Eddie still spins a good yarn about the recording of the album (for the accompanying DVD - inc the 5.1 mix) - all that's left is to get Steve and Ben V to sling a definitive book together and ££££'s a-go-go!....I'm wasted here, aren't I?

 Methinks EH could learn a thing or two from The Beatles/Apple/EMI

Lots of "celebrations" in Liverpool regard the fab's SPLHCB release, wonder what went on in Seattle?

I have no real desire for a mono CD [I have my Track and Barclay mono's] but I know that a lot of younger Hendrix fans want this in an officially released digital format.

While EH continue to delay release of some of the better outtakes surrounding this [and other official releases] they are in fact simply forcing customers / fans down the pirate and bootleg route. Yes, its all available free from collectors of course but not everybody getting into Jimi Hendrix may be aware of this.

I asked at my local record store if there had been a "run" on the AYE title. The reply? Why, has Hendrix died!!! Sharp and witty reply as may be, it serves to highlight just how underwhelming EH have been for this release. Oh well, maybe the 100th ann' will get more than a couple of lines from them on their web page!

I'll look forward to that for my 113th birthday.
