Sadly it appears the large format, 'Can You See Me?' special edition book celebrating the Silverstein collection, may not be produced at all as, at the moment, it looks like the minimum order level may not be reached by the exhibition end date (this Sat).

This would be a great shame as I'm sure this limited edition will become a sought-after collectable of the future. So, if you're teetering on the brink and considering putting your name down for one at the currently reduced price, go here for more info > http://www.snapgalleries.com/oyp/canyouseeme/?af=6793 or http://www.snapgalleries.com/shop/product.asp?P_ID=3525&CAT_ID=30071/&af=6793

However there is one good bit of news, the exhibition is apparently going 'on tour' from September onwards - no 100% confirmed dates or locations announced as yet, but Guy White the Snap Gallery Director, has told me he hopes it will include not only the UK but also Europe and the USA as well....watch this space.

Well, well. Looks like this is going to happen.
So with a VERY LIMITED TIME still available to get an order in at the reduced pre order price any interested folk need to get linked to
http://www.snapgalleries.com/oyp/canyouseeme/?af=6793 or http://www.snapgalleries.com/shop/produ ... 1/&af=6793
and get that order in.

this really is the last chance to get what in real terms is a bargain as once the pre order window closes it'll be full cost or miss out.

Well you do have yours now Steve :D
As do I! Anticipation is something that if allowed to can become too great. As say in an extended wait, as we had here for this planned publication, anticipation can be a negative and subsequently the wait out weighs the item itself. Expensive, delayed and that anticipation growing by the day.

Well finally Guy let this lose on us and I have to say .................................. with all the anticipation in the world it was never going to be a day in which disappointment or any feeling of dismay could enter once the box was opened.
The parcel weigh's in at 9kg and it came in a very oversized but well constructed box. Given the side of the box that mine came in was damaged this was a good foresight by Guy as the book itself remained pristine.

In truth, it is all a little too much to take in in the first look but it is stunning.

I'm looking forward to your review Steve but in the mean time I'm off to enjoy a second look at this and then mail Guy.
I'm also looking forward to comments from anyone else who has this book.

Well Gord, as you know by now, mine arrived almost in tandem with yours on Thursday morning and as you say, the packaging alone was totally OTT, having said that, as your's showed signs of mishandling, it's just as well!

However, the contents have to been seen to be believed....the quality of both the book and the pin-sharp (nigh on 48 year old images) contained within are simply STUNNING!! Some of the massive (24 x 36 inch) shots displayed as double page spreads make you feel as though you're actually in the studio during the session, they're that good.

As the outlay was quite high for this book I did wonder if the finished product could live up to the original marketing spiel, but it does, ten fold.....worth every penny. :)

When that lottery win comes in, go here for more info and to place your order http://www.snapgalleries.com/shop/product.asp?P_ID=3525&CAT_ID=50035%2F&af=6793

There's a bit of number envy going on apparently so if you would like to divulge your numbers we'll start a league table. I've just told someone that Steve E will be in single figures. I don't have it so I have no axe to grind.
